To be successful at any endeavor, one must be passionate. Don Grossinger is passionate about mastering. He has been mastering music and cutting records for over 24 years. His projects have charted on many Billboard charts and have won RIAA gold records and Grammy awards. Don was trained at Frankford Wayne Mastering Labs in the 1980’s. While there, he participated in the beginnings of Dance and Hip Hop music as produced by Arthur Baker, Tom Moulton and Jelly Bean Benitez. |

Don was soon recruited by Bob Ludwig at Masterdisk Mastering Studios to work as his production engineer. He produced work for Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, Mariah Carey, Sade, Elvis Costello, Tony Bennett, REM, The Grateful Dead, Public Enemy, Tears For Fears, Lou Reed, Metallica, Bob Dylan, The B-52’s, Kronos String Quartet, Pat Metheny, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Paul McCartney.
Following his stay at Masterdisk, Don became Chief Mastering Engineer at Europadisk. His mastering work was constantly on Billboard’s charts. More recently, he has gone on to do chart topping work for Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5, Franz Ferdinand, and The Rolling Stones dance remixes for “Sympathy For The Devil”.
In the world of Hip Hop, Don has done work for independent labels as well as major label releases. He has mastered and cut for Monica with Missy Elliot, Cypress Hill, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Ghostface Killah, and Def Jam Records.
Don was chosen to do the worldwide vinyl cutting for Brian Wilson’s “Smile” project. He was sought out by ABKCO Records to cut the vinyl for 10 classic Rolling Stones albums from the latest SACD masters. He’s also worked on projects for the Flaming Lips, Sonic Youth, MC-5, Bad Brains, and Television.
Don is a member of N.A.R.A.A.S. and the Audio Engineering Society. He loves his work and would love to master a project for you.
