Our Studer A-80 is designed with two sets of play heads and various threading paths (for different tape and disc speeds) to achieve the correct delay to allow the Neumann Lathe’s computer to properly space the grooves. This avoids an unnecessary conversion of the analog signal to digital, electronically delaying it and then converting back to analog.
