I arrived at the Trutone Studios carrying over thirty 16” transcription discs of a popular 1950’s radio show that featured my vocalist sister.
The project could have ended in disappointment, for 50+ years had taken their toll on the records, which were in various stages of decay. Carl educated me concerning the process; that professional restoration was necessary. Through his research and personal contacts, this was accomplished…. his engineering expertise, patience and commitment to quality covered the rest. The Result? Trutone Mastering Labs produced a CD set that brought the wonderful richness and clarity of these live studio performances and the talent of these professional musicians, singers and orchestras of another era back to life!
