TRUTONE Mastering Labs

It was such a pleasure to actually be there at the mastering session at Trutone’s new facility, listening, commenting, working with Carl and watching him in action. Having mixed my material on near fields in a less than accurate listening environment, I looked forward to mastering on the high end reference monitors and in the well tuned acoustic space of the Trutone mastering room. One thing I especially liked, that separates Trutone from other mastering labs, is the processing. Since the music was mixed down digitally, I appreciate the tone of the classic analog processing at the heart of Trutone's signal chain - and used so masterfully by Carl to shape the final sound. Where the songs needed to kick-ass, now they do; where they needed to be delicate and nuanced, now they are.  And throughout the entire CD, there's a unified and consistent sound.  I knew my mixes were good, but now they sound great!  Mastering at Trutone was the best decision I made for my mixes.  Thanks Carl!
